To Operate the Home Theater
Step 1: Locate the three remotes needed: Projector, Speaker, and Roku.
Step 2: Point the remote at the Klipsch speaker and turn it on. Set it to AUX mode — you should see a dim green light on the right speaker.
Step 3: Point the remote at the EPSON projector and turn it on.
Step 4: Use the Roku remote to select your content.
Step 5: To power off, simply turn off the EPSON projector — the rest of the system will power off automatically.
Please note: Since there's another guest upstairs and the building has wood framing, sound travels pretty easily between units. The home theater speakers pack quite a punch, so please keep the volume in mind, especially during evening and morning hours. We appreciate your consideration. Enjoy!
Important: Please never plug or unplug anything from the projector, and never adjust its position or zoom. It takes a lot of fine calibration to get the image aligned. You should never have to touch the projector itself.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped for your use. Here's what you need to know:
Stove:
- Tap the power button
- Tap the finger icon to activate touch
- Adjust power with + and - buttons
Trash & Recycling
Trash and recycling bins are located in the east alley. Look for the bins labeled "2416".
Pickup day: Every Thursday
Check-out Checklist
Before you leave, please:
- Make sure all windows and doors are locked and all ACs are turned off
- Load the dishwasher with any used dishes and start a cycle
- Place all used towels in the washing machine and start it running
No need to strip the beds. Thank you!
House Rules
- No smoking inside the property
- No parties or events
- Quiet hours: 10 PM - 8 AM
Emergency Information
Emergency: 911
Electrical Panel
Provider: Southern California Edison. The electrical panel is located on the north side of the house. To reset a tripped breaker, open the panel, identify the tripped switch, toggle it to OFF first, then flip it to ON. Lock passcode: 3729.
Gas Main Valve
Provider: SoCalGas. The main gas valve is located in the back of the house. You should never need to shut off the gas valve. For gas emergencies, call 911.
Water Main Valve
Provider: City of Torrance. The main water valve is located in the back of the house facing east. You should never need to shut off the water valve.
